Appalachian Ski Mountain (capstone inspiration)
This website for Appalacian Ski Mountain is sick! love it! the use of House Industries fonts and cool color choices make this site become as slick as the skis that ride that mountain. I most likely will be using this as inspiration for my capstone project (ski snowboard camp for young adults). The logo itself could use a little love, but I love the color contrast between blues and oranges... color compliments... I will definitely keep that in mind. I'm thinking of a purple and green color scheme contrasted with the obvious natural images of the mountain and terrain. All of the neat gadgets (i.e. weather conditions, upcoming events, and social media connects) around the main content are useful for the active winter sports goer. Very user friendly and inviting. Definitely looks like an awesome mountain.

Who doesn't love an Apple?
welcome to my blog. I will be using this space to analyze websites and such. Originally for a class, but will probably continue longer than the required time... enjoy my thoughts.
Apple has created a whole lifestyle, and there is no doubt that its website follows that same style. It is very sleek and staylish, with a tech-ish appearance using brushed metal as the menu bars. The photography and digrams show the most amount of information possible and still hold a smooth, fun, and attractive appearance. The navagation is easy and seamless. The site map of apple.com is very detailed and organized very well. The font is a very simple and easy to read sans serif. There are SEVERAL side navagation bars/lists which can get confusing if not read before clicking, but it helps the user get to pages faster rather than clicking all over the place. I personally have never had a problem finding what I needed on this site. I would say this is definitely at the top of the list of one of the best designed websites.
